Interactive Multimedia Designer

The Audience Development Department of OPUBCO Communications Group is searching for a multimedia designer to join our team of creatives and work in a team atmosphere to produce designs for our various online products.

The candidate will be responsible for working with the Creative Director and programmers to design and prototype next generation web sites and user-friendly interactive interfaces. The candidate will also have a hand in producing motion graphics for our various projects in video.

Must have demonstrated ability to design using type and graphics and have a basic understanding of web standards and user experience.

Proficiency on a Mac OS X based platform using Adobe Creative suite products.

Strong visual design, layout and typographic skills with sharp attention to detail.

Experience with the following is a plus but not required.

• Motion Graphics experience using Adobe AfterEffects and/or Apple Motion.
• Adobe Flash video/animation and ActionScript/Flex.
• Experience with content management systems like Drupal, Joomla, Mambo
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/XHTML/DHTML and CSS.
• Understanding of W3C coding standards, browser compatibility issues, accessibility guidelines, and search engine optimization techniques.

Must have BA or BFA in Graphic Design with a minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience.
